* Since asparagus is a perinneal, I'd give it it's own bed, or maybe plant it with strawberries (remember you can make the beds any size you want. NOTE: It is recommended that strawberry plants be dug up and replaced every 4 years.
** You can plant onions 16 per square foot. Pull plants in odd rows early for scallions, giving the others room to grow to full size.
